About this collection

This collection presents oral history interviews conducted for the exhibit, "The Negro Leagues: A Baseball Legacy" at the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum in Baltimore, Maryland. The project was created by Dr. Jessica Elfenbein in the fall of 1998 for an undergraduate seminar in public history. University of Baltimore students interviewed Negro League players, friends, family, and business contacts. Transcripts from eight interviews have been included in this collection.
